WASH (WATER, SANITATION AND HYGIENE)
What We Do
What We Do
Ensuring Sanitation and Hygiene
We train communities in safe and hygienic practices like the safe disposal of human waste, the importance of constructing bathrooms for the community, washing hands before 5 critical time points - before eating, after using toilet, before cooking, before feeding child and after cleaning child, boiling water before drinking it and storing it safely, and ensuring a clean play environment for children.
Access to water and conservation
In some remote communities, we provide wello-wheels to community members to help them access water for daily use. Additionally, we also ensure improved access to clean drinking water and install tippy-taps and promote hand washing at the houses of our beneficiaries and at Anganwadi Centres. This helps local communities to raise the standard of hygiene.
