In India, we are one of the few NGOs focusing specifically on maternal and child health with various nutrition-sensitive and nutrition-specific interventions. Our teams engage with communities in remote and hard-to-reach areas, identifying and addressing nutritional challenges in children. We empower mothers and families with knowledge and awareness so they can see their children grow up strong and for whole communities to prosper.

We operate in 1,272 villages in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Gujarat.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing fundraising strategiesto achieve annual targets of ₹3,00,00,000 (Three CroresIndian Rupees). Annual target may vary depending upon the seniority of the role.  

Responsibilities include but does not limit to:

  • Implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve annual targets, including:
    - Conducting market research and analysis to identify new funding opportunities
    - Building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential donors, including major donors, foundations, corporations, and governments
    - Collaborating with program teams to develop compelling fundraising proposals and reports
    - Ensuring effective stewardship of donor relationships, including timely reporting and communication
  • Identify and pursue new funding opportunities, including:
    - Researching and identifying potential donors and funding sources
    - Developing and submitting proposals and applications
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of major donors, including:
    - Identifying and cultivating new major donors
    - Building and maintaining relationships with existing major donors
  • Collaborate with program teams to develop and implement program-specific fundraising strategies, including:
    - Developing and submitting program-specific proposals and applications
    - Building relationships with key stakeholders, including program officers, foundation staff, and corporate giving managers
    - Ensuring effective stewardship of program-specific donor relationships
  • Analyse and report on fundraising performance, including:
    - Tracking and analysing fundraising metrics, including revenue, donor retention, and return on investment
    - Developing and submitting regular fundraising reports to senior management and the board of directors
  • Develop and manage the fundraising budget, including:
    - Developing and submitting an annual fundraising budget
    - Managing and tracking fundraising expenses, including staff time, travel, and marketing materials

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 6-10 years of experience in fundraising, with a focus on international development and health
  • Experience working with international NGOs, foundations, corporations, and governments
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles, practices, and regulations
