In India, our operations from the grassroots upwards, are focused on taking decisive action to create a healthier nation. In India, we are one of the few NGOs focusing specifically on maternal and child health with various nutritionsensitive and nutrition-specific interventions. Our teams engage with communities in remote and hard-to-reach areas, identifying and addressing nutritional challenges in children. We empower mothers and families with knowledge and awareness so they can see their children grow up strong and for whole communities to prosper.
We operate in 1,312 villages in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Gujarat.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the CEO, the Head - Resource Mobilization & Communications shall work closely with the Senior Management Team, under the oversight of the Board of Directors, to ensure that annual fundraising goals are met, while growing and diversifying the organization's donor base, to establish a sizeable corpus fund over the next few years.
Responsibilities include but does not limit to:
- Create a Fund-raising strategy for 3 years and a year wise action plan
- Agree a departmental budget and work to achieve or exceed a fundraising target
- Build a successful team and their capabilities to deliver the action plan and set goals for them
- Build relationships with high profile and high net worth individuals, corporates, institutions, and other foundations as potential donors to the Organization
- Develop a robust process of Fundraising from proposal writing to closures and donor servicing/ donor relationship management
- Responsible for top quality proposals addressing needs of the Organization and the donors
- Strengthen the donor retention and engagement process and achieve desired donor retention targets
- Work with communication and digital and develop innovative acquisition and retention and engagement communication
- Attend networking events and meetings with potential donors
- Prepare reports and give presentations on fundraising progress to the senior leadership team, board and donors
- Works with the CEO to develop and implement a Pan India communication, fundraising and marketing strategy that leverages the unique strengths of AAH to achieve India’s ambitious targets for growth and to strengthen brand recognition to key audiences.
- Spearheads and supports resource mobilization needs for communication with Government Agencies, foundations, corporations, HNWI and other potential streams of income that might benefit from a regional role and monitorsfundraising performance and growth at a national and regional level
- Advises on the development of appropriate pan-India and country corporate engagements, in line with AAH policies and approach
- Initiates market research and translates complex analysis into wellstructured and comprehensible presentations and recommendations for corporate communication and marketing initiatives; that will enhance and strengthen AAH’s overall position in India
- Promotes the effective integration of communications and marketing messages and activities across all base offices
- Works with SMT to develop and lead India level and Network campaigns for brand building and public engagement
- Monitor the performance in terms of fundraising, communications and marketing performance, including in particular, growth and brand recognition in key markets and make recommendations for improvement as appropriate
- Monitors performance of selected NGOs in our market to benchmark AAH performance.

Qualifications & Experience
- Postgraduate with PGDM/MBA/Any Business Management degree
- 14-16 years of work experience in Sales/ Business development; at least 8 years in social sector is preferred
- Excellent oral and written presentation skills
- Highly skilled in networking
- Effective management skills
- Fair knowledge of budgeting, costing and finances
- Should be savvy in digital marketing and versatile to work with both corporates and HNIs.
