MIYCN Training (Gujarati)
Project Vruddhi, an initiative by Action Against Hunger, had organized Maternal, Infant, and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN) Training in Sabarkantha district from May 28 to June 1, 2024. During this 5-day MIYCN workshop 50 champions from the ICDS-WCD and Health Departments were trained with special focus was done on effective breastfeeding techniques. The workshop was led by Dr. Rupal Dalal, Director of Maternal and Child Health (SMDT), and her team.
As part of our capacity-building efforts this training has been successfully delivered to 1000 more Frontline Workers (FLWs) by these 50 champions with the help of pre-recorded sessions highlighting key learnings from the 5-day MIYCN workshop covering eight different topics on Effective Breastfeeding techniques and Growth Monitoring.
With the motive to spread this knowledge across, we are sharing the highlights of pre-recorded sessions. Action Against Hunger is pleased that these training sessions will enhance awareness about effective breastfeeding positioning and latching techniques, contributing to optimal weight gain in newborn infants.
